• Substrates: install over cement board or a waterproof backing. Apply a waterproofing membrane per manufacturer instructions before panel installation

• Adhesive and fasteners: use a compatible construction adhesive and corrosion-resistant screws. Follow cure times before exposing to water

• Seams and edges: seal vertical and horizontal joints, inside corners, niches, and valve trims with a compatible sealant. Maintain expansion gaps where specified

• Fixtures: pre-drill for mixers, showerheads, and accessories. Seal penetrations thoroughly to keep water out of the wall assembly
